Lars Shade

The “Lars Shade” is the classic roller shade reinvented. Whether installed over windows, between cubicles or used as a backdrop for a video presentation, the Lancaster Project roller shade elevates any space by creating a more pleasant acoustic atmosphere. In addition to significantly reducing disruptive exterior noises, like ambulance sirens, the Lars Shade also enhances the acoustic environment within a room. Reverberation time causes an echo that often is the difference between what we perceive as “sound” versus “noise.” When used as a backdrop during a recording the audio will sound less canned. When used as a partition between desks in an open concept office the shade can be used to reduce the distraction of a coworker on the phone or using a keyboard 

This shade is made with Lumitex™ which is a lightweight, nonwoven fabric which provides excellent acoustic absorption while requiring a fraction of the space of traditional absorptive panels. Lumitex™ is washable, and can be dyed, printed, cut and sewn as with traditional fabrics to suit your decorative needs.
